A B and C Registers are controlled by Rule 432 which provides administrative information for managing schools. The academic year, which is controlled by Rule 19 (SR 2) officially starts in June or July. For operations in educational administration under AER guidelines the academic year is officially split into different terms. The short term runs from the time the school opens again until December. Rule 371 specifically describes the structure for the Adult School Teachers Certificate within the AER guidelines. Advisory Committees for schools are set up according to Rule 68(I). Rule 68(II). Case sheet records are kept by the Headmaster following Rules 99 to 204 to keep track of details about the school and students. Rules 273 and 274 control certificate courses that are meant for experienced trained graduates, L.P.s and Minhos. Administrative control says that a DEO office can be checked directly by the RJDSE. The Corporal Punishment Register is another document kept by the Headmaster. This register shows that all schools strictly follow the ban on punishment as stated in G.O.Ms.No:16, Dt: 18.02.2002 and AER Rules 39 and 122(2). According to Rule 40 each student in a school needs at least 9 1/2 square meters of space. Rule 77 says that each teacher in a school must have a minimum of 24 teaching periods. The Headmaster must teach least 8 of those periods in a week. Expulsion is a punishment given to a student because of constant bad behavior.
